American Literary Review Spring Graduate Student Reading







Please join us tomorrow, Friday February 1st, at 7:30 pm for the American Literary Review's first Spring Reading, featuring original fiction and poetry by Mark Wagenaar, Erin Lynch, Courtney Craggett and Chris Beard. All faculty and students are welcome to attend. Please feel free to bring spouses, significant others, and buddies as well.

Mark Wagenaar is the author of Voodoo Inverso, the 2012 winner of the Felix Pollak Prize, from the University of Wisconsin Press. He is also a past winner of the Gary Gildner Award, the Yellowwood Poetry Prize, and the contests of Fugue, Columbia: A Journal of Art & Literature, Phoebe, and he recently placed third in the James Hearst Poetry Prize. His poems have most recently been accepted or published by Tin House, Beloit Poetry Journal, the Southeast Review, 32 Poems, Poet Lore, the North American Review, and the Southern Indiana Review.

Christopher Beard lives in Dallas and is a Doctoral Fellow in Poetry at the University of North Texas. He is a contest coordinator for American Literary Review, a Content Editor at LitBridge, and has been published in a variety literary magazines, most recently Whiskey Island and The Pinch. He is presently working towards his first book.

Erin's work has most recently appeared in Blast Furnace. While she can't boast any professional awards, she once made $2.50 reciting poetry on a Chicago street corner.
